The tragedy that is hardest to bear is when it happens to a child. Sadly, in the U.S. car accidents remain #1 cause of death in children under the age of 12.
In 2018 the number of children that died was 636 and the number of those injured in a car accident was 97,000. The most devastating thing about this fact is that nearly half of those children who died in a car accident were simply not restrained properly, while others were sitting in the front seat or were driven by a drunk driver.
However, properly installing a car seat or booster seat for your child can reduce the risk of fatal injuries in a car crash and save a child’s life.
